Ann RosalindHUNTWith Deep Sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother, on the 16th August 2025. At the age of 75, she died peacefully in her sleep at the Princes of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. Born on the 16th February 1950 at St Davids Hospital Cardiff to David and Joyce Tilley, "Ros" was known for her red hair, strength of will and vibrant caring spirit. Her early years were spent first in Llantwit, and later in Cowbridge. She attended Eagleswell School - Llantwit Major, Cowbridge Grammar School, followed by Bridgend technical college before going on to hold several roles in administration at Rhoose (Cardiff) Airport, in London and Birmingham City Council prior to marriage and children. In parallel she pursued her passion for horses, dogs, and occasionally bell ringing. She was a keen rider in her youth, set up the Anros kennels breeding and showing Irish and Gordon setters, and rang the newly restored bells at St Cadoc's church Llancarfan prior to the millennium. The family home she established at Pen-onn, Llancarfan and the friendships that grew around that were some of her fondest and whilst eventually returning to an old family home in Cowbridge she keenly followed the goings on of village life whenever possible. Ros was a Loving Mother, a Proud Grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her children, Simon and Pippa, as well as all seven Grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She will be deeply missed by them all. Her memory also lives on in the hearts of those who knew her best, friends, colleagues, and all who were touched by her quick wit, loyalty and commitment. Ros was preceded in death by her Parents David and Joyce, and her Brother David Andrew. Funeral Service to celebrate Ros's life will be held on Wednesday 10th September, 2.30pm at Holy Cross Church followed by a wake at her home in Cowbridge. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Tý Hafan, PDSA or the RNLI in her name. As a final reflection of her spirit: "Here's a sigh to those that love me, and a smile to those that hate, and whatever sky's above me, here's a heart for every fate."
